Meet Dr. Zach

Dr. Zach Main is a chiropractic physician originally from Canada. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences from Brock University before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine at National University of Health Sciences.

His background in high-level hockey and lacrosse at Culver Academies developed an early interest in movement, performance, and recovery, shaping a clinical approach centered on helping patients move better, recover faster, and build long-term resilience.

During his clinical training at Cornerstone Health in Evanston, Illinois, Dr. Zach trained under GRIP Approach founder Dr. Benjamin Fergus and is certified in GRIP and Non-Surgical Joint Replacement techniques for hip, knee, and shoulder conditions. His clinical training also includes Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT), among others, including a range of soft tissue and manual therapy techniques. While at National University of Health Sciences, he helped revitalize the Rehab Club (Rehab2Performance), serving as the president for three trimesters. This experience played a foundational role in shaping his identity as a clinician.

Dr. Zach is an avid learner who stays current with emerging research and evidence-informed practice. He follows an N=1 model of care, integrating hands-on treatment, movement-based rehabilitation, and patient education tailored to the individual.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending his free time with Dr. Marissa, exploring coffee shops, reading, spending time in nature, and staying active through his own fitness and training.

His mission is simple: help people feel better, move better, and stay that way long-term.

Meet Dr. Marissa

A woman with long, dark hair wearing a green, short-sleeved, floral dress stands outdoors in a grassy area with trees in the background. She is smiling and has her arms crossed.

Hi, I’m Dr. Marissa! From a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue medicine. I vividly remember telling anyone who would listen that I wanted to deliver babies one day. Science, the human body, and caring for others has always deeply inspired me.

For many years, traditional medicine was my clear path. That direction shifted during a medical internship in Vietnam, when my roommate introduced me to the book Brain Maker by David Perlmutter. I had no idea that a single book could completely change the trajectory of my career. It opened my eyes to a new way of thinking about health that centered on the connection between the gut and the brain, and the role of diet and lifestyle in preventing chronic and neurodegenerative conditions. These were concepts I had never been exposed to before, and they resonated deeply.

After reading that book, I realized I could never practice medicine in the way I had originally planned. I began searching for an approach to health that aligned with my values. I wanted a model that prioritized prevention, that sought to understand the why behind symptoms and conditions, and that trusted the body’s innate ability to heal when given the right support. That search led me to Naturopathic Medicine, a field I had never encountered before but one that immediately felt aligned with everything I believed in.

I graduated from naturopathic medical school with a deep passion for wellness and a strong desire to support others in feeling informed, empowered, and cared for. I believe every person deserves to feel supported in their wellness journey. While traditional healthcare plays an important role, it often leaves gaps, particularly when it comes to understanding habits, lifestyle patterns, and early risk factors. My work exists in that space.

As a wellness consultant, my goal is to be your advocate and partner. I strive to educate, support, and walk alongside you through every stage of your wellness journey. I am here to help you feel confident, informed, and empowered to take an active role in your health, no matter where you are starting from.

  • “I was a patient of Dr. Marissa for nearly two years, and she was my very first naturopathic doctor. From the beginning, working with Dr. Marissa transformed my life. She embodies compassion. She cared so deeply and genuinely about my medical concerns, and from day one treated me as though she truly knew me. Over time, our doctor-patient relationship grew into a space of deep trust and I felt safe bringing her everything including my frustrations, my fears, my health struggles. I felt this way because I knew that I would be met with honesty, warmth, and unwavering care and support. On a consistent basis, she went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable, heard, and supported.”

  • "I cannot recommend Dr. (Zach) Main enough for movement and rehab needs! Knowledgeable and attentive, friendly and accommodating. I've definitely had significant improvement with my pain management under his care, as well as guidance on maintaining joint health through movement and exercise. The addition of dry needling to my treatment has also made a huge difference. So thankful!"
