Most chiropractic offices offer adjustments and most physical therapy clinics offer exercises. We offer both, and we go further. Dr. Zach treats how your body moves and recovers, while Dr. Marissa focuses on how it functions from the inside out, getting to the root-cause of what conventional healthcare has failed to resolve. Our approach is individualized, education-driven, and built around the belief that you deserve to truly understand your body and take back control of your health.
-
Dr. Zach provides chiropractic services that focus on how your body moves and recovers structurally. He is able to diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders and complaints.
Dr. Marissa provides functional health consulting that focuses on how your body functions internally. She provides educational services to help address root-causes of chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalance, and digestive issues among others through functional lab analysis, nutritional guidance, herbal supplementation recommendations, and lifestyle counseling.
These are two distinct but complementary services. Many people will see value working with both Dr. Zach and Dr. Marissa.
-
We are a cash-based practice, which means we do not bill insurance directly. For our chiropractic services we are an out-of-network provider which means we can provide superbills for people with out-of-network benefits. We do not provide superbills for our functional health services.
-
A superbill is a detailed clinical receipt that includes everything your insurance company needs to process a claim. You submit it directly to your carrier, and if you have out-of-network chiropractic or physical therapy benefits, they may reimburse you directly. Many patients are surprised by how much they get back once they actually submit.
-
HSA and FSA cards can be used for eligible chiropractic services with Dr. Zach. It works like a debit card, simple and immediate. We recommend confirming which services quality under your specific plan with your administrator.
-
We are a non-participating provider with Medicare, meaning payment for all services is due at the time of service. The adjustment portion of the visit with Dr. Zach may or may not be reimbursable through your Medicare plan. All other services are non-covered under Medicare, and standard cash pricing applies.
-
No referral needed for any of our services.
-
We understand that life happens but we just ask for 24 hours advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a no-show fee, though we handle these on a case-by-case basis for first-time occurrences.
Chiropractic Specific FAQ’s
-
No. Adjustments are one tool in a much larger toolbelt. Treatment is always based on what your body needs at that visit. Many patients will receive adjustments regularly because they respond well to them. Others don’t need adjustments at all.
-
Chiropractic new patient exams are 1 hour, and follow-ups range from 15-45 minutes depending on the services involved. All appointments are 1-on-1 with Dr. Zach.
-
We do not perform X-rays in office, and we do not require imaging to be seen as a new patient. If X-rays, MRI, CT, or ultrasound are warranted based on your exam or mechanism of injury, we refer to trusted local imaging providers and incorporate those findings directly into your treatment plan.
-
We work with everyone from people dealing with everyday pain and injury to competitive athletes looking to perform at the highest level. Some examples of musculoskeletal complaints we often see include: back and neck pain, headaches, sciatica, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle/foot issues, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal dysfunction.
-
No. Treatment plans are built around your specific pain and movement goals, and once those are met we discuss what ongoing care makes sense for you. That said, due to the demands of modern life - sedentary jobs, less movement, more stress - we usually recommend some form of maintenance plan to stay ahead of pain and dysfunction before it starts. What that looks like is completely individual. For some it’s once a month, and for others it can be a few times a year. It is important to note that this is a recommendation, never a requirement.
-
We welcome it. We believe every provider has a role on your healthcare team, and collaborative care almost always produces better outcomes than working individually. If you’re already seeing a PCP, specialist, or another chiropractor or PT, we’re happy to co-manage your care and communicate directly with your other providers to make sure everyone is on the same page. We would love to be introduced to your primary care physician or any member of your care team; because at the end of the day, this is about making sure you get the care you deserve.

During your consultation, we will have a thoughtful, in-depth conversation about your health history, lifestyle habits, nutrition, stress, sleep, movement, and wellness goals. The visit is collaborative and educational, with plenty of space for questions and reflection.
Your initial visit focuses on understanding the full picture of your health. While some initial suggestions may be shared, most personalized guidance is provided during follow-up visits. This allows time to thoughtfully create a tailored care plan based on your goals and needs.
Follow-up consultations are where recommendations are reviewed, adjusted, and refined, offering ongoing support, education, and accountability as you move forward in your wellness journey.
